Charlene Williams
(Love and Street Corner Harmony)

"Fame, I'm going to live forever, I'm going to learn how to fly"

Inspired by Leroy on Fame and the movie Break Dancing peaked Charlene's interest in dance at an early age. She began choreographing dance movements for her and her girls to compete against other youth at house parties and local talent shows. Through local recreational centers Charlene was exposed to African, modern jazz and ballet dances. She co-choreographed her first theatrical production at the age of 16 called The Wiz, under the direction of Sandra Grooms. Later as a captain of her high school cheerleading squad she co-chorepgraphed the routine that won them first place in the city competition. Charlene choreographed and acted in Love and Street Corner Harmony.
